Grissom Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps offers a wide range of activities to prepare our students for their future by helping students develop critical thinking skills and gain valuable knowledge.
Color Guard
Presents the national colors at school and community events throughout the year. Presentation events include, but are not limited to, home athletic contests, local parades, and community social functions. The Color Guard is trained and led by a cadet selected by the JROTC Cadre. Team members are expected to display the utmost respect for themselves and the Colors at all times and display superior military bearing.


Raiders
A unit that focuses on achieving superior levels of physical fitness, teamwork, camaraderie, and basic military skills proficiency. Raiders train year-round. Training incorporates physical fitness events (focused on a Physical Fitness Test, 3-mile team obstacle run, 1-mile team Litter Carry and Rope Bridge events, etc).
JLAB
Nationally recognized academic competition created exclusively for JROTC cadets. Participants will test their knowledge and leadership skills through competing in a series of rounds against other JLAB teams across the nation.


Archery
Grissom JROTC Archery follows the NASP (National Archery
in the Schools Program) curriculum. Archery is a great sport
to learn focus, self-control, discipline, patience and the life
lessons required to be successful in the classroom and life. Scholarships can be earned through Archery aswell!!
